Catherine “Kate” McKan is proud to have been born and raised in Binghamton, NY. Having called this area “home” her entire life, she is quite familiar with what Broome County and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Kate’s background includes a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications, and a lengthy career in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Her ability to communicate and negotiate effectively, allowed her much success in that arena.

It was an unexpected loss in her family that altered the career path she had previously been on. She has learned so much because of that loss, and the biggest lesson of all, was that in her family’s greatest time of need, it was the very community they call home, that lifted them up and surrounded them with support they so greatly needed. In her words, “everyone should be lucky enough to call this place their home”.

For Kate, her career in Real Estate is not just helping her clients to buy or sell a house; it’s about partnering with them as they walk through one of the biggest and most rewarding decisions in their lives.

She resides in Binghamton with her husband and children, in the very first home she bought so many years ago. To this day, she still remembers the impact her agent had as she helped her navigate the world of Real Estate. Kate’s goal is to help her clients enjoy the process of buying and selling, and to provide a service that will always include respect, loyalty, and honestly. Her client’s best interests will always be her priority.
